Seminar at the Peruvian National Police’s DIRINCRI & Visit to the DIRINCRI’s Criminalistics Lab

On June 22, 2018 True Forensic Science’s Science Director and Instructor, Prof. Carlos A. Gutierrez, offered a Seminar for police officers, detectives and forensic scientists of the Department of Criminal Investigation (DIRINCRI, in its Spanish acronym). The Seminar named “The Impact of Forensic Sciences and its Multidisciplinary Approach in the Crime Scene Work” covered the latest terminology and definitions of today’s Forensic Sciences, as well as its new specialties for improving experts’ work at the crime scene, such as: Forensic Microanthropology, Forensic Taphonomy, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), among others.

Additionally, after the Seminar ended, True Forensic Science team were taken to a tour through the DIRINCRI’s Criminalistics Lab. During the tour, True Forensic Science team composed by its President, Mrs. Ana L. Acuna, and its Science Director, Mr. Carlos A. Gutierrez, visited the facilities of Forensic Toxicology Lab, Chemistry Lab, CSI Office, Fingerprints Lab & Forensic Anthropology, and Questioned Documents Lab.
